Beach
I'm walking along a beach,
uncomfortably unclad in a black velvet bikini, feet bare, and legs tired from walking so far.
I can hear the sound of waves, people laughing happily in the distance,
and the breeze blowing across conch shells.
Hiding
I'm in a large house with high ceilings.
It belongs to an old woman who is extremely religious.
(It felt like the Bradley's house, but it wasn't)
I find an immense fireplace made of large grey stones.
It's the size of a room and somewhat round.
There is an arched doorway built into it on the other side,
matching the one (on the south side) that I am looking through.
There is a third doorway (on the east side) that I can see light shining from.
I feel like I've been here before, and I know it's a good, safe place to hide.
Tiger tricks
I'm working with a tiger, who I'm trying to get to run around a circular track.
The track is similar to that of a rollercoaster's and is along the inside of a large spool-like object.
(much like a giant sewing bobbin or the big wooden structures that hold thick metal cables)
I have little fear of the tiger, and we are conversing together.
The tiger says she'll show me a trick,
and while she's behind me,
(I'm in the center of the spool thing)
she disappears.
I look to the top part of the spool, and don't see anything,
but I know there's an invisible shield there.
I crack the shield with my whip and it shatters.
Instead of the tiger, Marilyn Monroe is crouching behind it.
She smiles, stands up, and says
"wasn't that a great trick?"
Milk & blood
I'm in a totally different reality.
I'm observing but not present.
The Monroe figure (from the earlier dream) is represented by a tiny, pale pink barbie shoe
that has a telephone key pad as it's face.
A wrinkled little man; evil and full of chaotic, unreasonable hate, unleashes his pet tigermonster
(it 'felt' like a tiger, but it was black and had scales) on her.
It licks/gnaws off her face, then the man snaps a plastic bracelet
(or orange collar attached to a rope)
around her spine/neck
and leads her away as the tigermonster melts.
Left behind are a couple of bottles full of milk mixed with blood.
The two liquids are staying somewhat separate.
Balcony
I'm going to a play with two men and one woman.
(The woman keeps changing into different friends of mine: Vanessa, Sara W.,
Laura, Lore, etc.)
I can't place who the men are, but the one I'm with is like Pie O' Pah (from the book Imajica).
He is everything I could ever want on the inside,
and outwardly so beautiful that I can't breathe when I look at him.
His face keeps changing slightly, shifting slowly as though it's blooming into something so perfect
that I'll 'remember' and go blind and insane in the unblocking.
He's wearing a black tux, and I'm wearing a perfect, low cut, long black dress and heels.
His arm is around my waist and I feel unbearably happy and content.
We all arrive at the theater and begin a long climb up a maze-like flight of
stairs to the balcony.
We keep passing lower balconies, but we must keep climbing.
(something about the climb reminds me of the 500 hats of Bartholemew Cubbins)
We finally reach the highest balcony and sit down.
There are dancers and actors running all around us
wearing various sparkling and sequined costumes, singing songs from Grease.
Then it's just the 4 of us alone in the balcony,
which has turned into more of a box than a balcony.
Then it's as if we are looking through a box to the stage,
which is too close to us in relation to how high we are.
(like a huge screen placed in front of us)
The show starts, and is very close to a La La La Human Steps show, only more surreal.
There is a feeling of vertigo as either the stage or the balcony begins to move.
I begin to feel dizzy and full of rollercoaster adrenaline.
Blackness engulfs everything except the sparkling white dancers;
spinning and stopping, twirling in the air and deliberately throwing themselves into each other.
The stage moves closer, glides around and back, as if the balcony is a video camera
swooping in and out, filming from different angles and perspectives.
