Plague
I'm in a school.(a cross between Carnarvon and my grade school in Durham)
It's before a dance, and during a plague that may lead to the next world war.
Chris (L) is nearby, but he won't talk to me, so I send a short musician friend over to talk to him,
but he still won't respond.
This upsets me, because I want to make him face me.
I try to put it out of my mind and go to the gym for the dance.
I notice a tall, skinny man with long, dark hair, but I turn away from him
and sit at a table with someone I mistake for Fairuza.
It turns out to be an olive skinned dwarf with a Spanish accent, who scares me to some extent.
I ignore my fear and speak to her,
then am pleasantly surprised to find her a friendly, smiley, likable person.
We write upside down messages to each other in pencil on the desk.
A woman resembling Cher walks into the gym.
She's wearing a long, pale pink 50's gown, has a big, blonde beehive with spitcurls,
and there's a cigarette dangling from her pale pink lips.
I leave the gym to find the bathroom, which is full of people waiting in line.
I think to myself that I should make a universal bathroom pass
for a pseudo bladder dysfunction so I'll never have to wait in line again.
I go back to the gym.
Someone; possibly Chris, is dressed as Zorro, and insults the looks of a rather homely girl.
She misunderstands his jibe and takes it to be an invitation to dance.
She follows him out to the dance floor, but he doesn't seem to mind.
I leave the gym again, then walk into one of the classrooms
and out the teacher's exit to my right.
Some food has been discovered to fight the plague,
but a discomforting feeling has settled down over the school.
I have discovered a black-hot metal brick that turns white where I blow on it.
The metal was discovered by mistake and misused,
causing an accident that started the plague.
I notice that there is writing carved into it.
I try to read the words, but I can't seem to make them out.
(The uncomfortable feeling and all bad elements in the dream dissipate
by the time the dream ends.)
