White trash brother
I find a book full of dictionary definitions, but the cover reads 'Kundalini'.
I realize that my parents have the same book in paperback.
I leave the house to search for my brother, who had been adopted by a Vietnamese family.
I take the bus to a slummy area and enter one of the houses.
Dan is looking quite unhealthy.
He's about 30 years old, has long, greasy hair, and is terribly skinny.
I wonder to myself if he's on drugs.
He and his pregnant girlfriend live in the ramshackle old house,
referring to it as their "fixer-upper".
I leave and drop by Paula and Robert's new place.
It's floors are covered with gross green 70's shag carpeting
(I tell her that I dreamt about having similar carpets, but they were blue).
Paula tells me she has just spent $200 on Chanel couch cushions.
(I find them quite ugly but hold my tongue, as she seems to be very pleased.)
I leave, seeing a lady running after a bus that has pulled away with her child still on it.
I end up somewhere near Dunbar street, having a deja vu feeling
as I walk through the suburbs looking at all the different houses.
I turn into the parking lot of an apartment building, hoping to find a shortcut.
I cross a path I vaguely remember and turn around a corner,
finding myself close to a disturbed looking man.
I get an image/memory of him standing in the exact spot as a little boy.
I feel that he is imbalanced, possibly dangerous, and rather slow of mind,
so I ignore him and quickly exit the yard.
Then I recognize where I am and walk home.
